Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy INGREDIENTS
Don’t you just love having an easy weeknight meal? It seems like all you have to do is prep and walk away. But you have to admit, the taste makes all the effort worthwhile. The slow cooker chicken gravy tastes incredible and has a perfect combination of savory and easiness. The slow cooker chicken is sure to make it an amazing dinner that your family will enjoy. At the end of the day, what else can you really ask for?
See…, you most probably have the majority of the ingredients in your kitchen already. Note that the cream of chicken and gravy are already salted, so don’t add much salt when seasoning the chicken.
- 2 packs of dry chicken gravy mix
- 1 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups water
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- garlic powder, salt & black pepper to taste
- ½ cup sour cream
- rice, mashed potatoes or noodles for serving
- sliced green onions for topping
- Season chicken breasts on both sides with garlic powder, black pepper and a tad bit of salt.
- In your slow cooker, whisk together the gravy packets, cream of chicken soup, and water until smooth.
- Add the seasoned chicken breasts. Be sure to get them covered in gravy.
- Cover and cook on low for about 6-8 hours.
- Once cooked, break chicken up into chunks using a fork.
- Stir in sour cream. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes with sliced green onions (optional)
