Nothing difficult really, a very easy and delicious Italian dish that you can prepare under 20 minutes. We usually cook spaghetti, macaroni or penne. So today we’ll use shells and 4 different cheeses, the pasta texture is really different and the advantage is that you can fill them.
In this delicious recipe by Cooktop Cove, four different cheeses are mixed in with savory basil pesto and stuffed into dreamy pasta shells before being cooked to perfection in the comfort of your own slow cooker.
- Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions. Pour ½ jar of tomato sauce into the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, pesto, salt and pepper. Spoon the mixture into the cooked pasta shells and place the filled shells on top of the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Pour the remaining ½ jar of tomato sauce over the top and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
