Come on! Why would you need to cook mashed potatoes in the slow cooker… you may ask…
Simply because there’s a simpler way that doesn’t require to cook potatoes in boiling water before. And for a YUMMY outcome.
Perfect if you have other things to do than watching the boiling water. Requires a bit more time but you can do whatever you want (or nothing and get some rest) while it’s cooking.
Have a look:
First peel and chop your potatoes and put them into the crock pot.
Time for seasoning. The drop your smashed garlic cloves on top of the potatoes.
Stir well and add ground pepper and salt according to your taste.
Pour in 1 1/2 cup milk and stir well.
You can also cook the potatoes in chicken or vegetable broth instead of milk.
It’s now time to put the lid on and cook four to five hours on HIGH or until the potatoes get very tender and soft.
