Crock Pot Cauliflower with Tasty Sauce.
Today, we’re going to make a wonderful Cauliflower that will become so tasty once we add a few spices that will slowly enhance the aromas in the Crock Pot.
Perhaps because the most commonly consumed varieties of cauliflower are white, many people may not associate cauliflower with the same nutrient richness as green cruciferous vegetables like broccoli or kale.
Though white varieties of cauliflower are just as rich in phytonutrients as their green fellows…
Let’s place the Cauliflower in the Pot
In a bowl, add spices. The classic combination of butter, sage, and lemon gives this recipe all the extra love it needs to stand out from the rest.
Stir well.
Pour the mix, and with your hands, rub the cauliflower with the sauce.
Now add Parmesan cheese and lemon.
We cook the cauliflower whole, leaves and all, wasting nothing. Slowly roasting and steaming in the slow cooker for a few hours, the cauliflower cooks to a perfect tenderness, while Parmesan adds a nice crust around the outside.
The natural liquid of the cauliflower is released into the pot, and with some fresh parsley mixed in at the end, we use it to sauce the finished dish.
Look at this…
It’s ready, the perfect side dish with a delicious meat…
Before serving, add the remaining sauce for a fantastic taste…
Did you know that one of cauliflower’s fractal properties is that every branch, or “module,” is similar to the entire cauliflower?
Cauliflower is also a good source of vitamin K, protein, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, magnesium, and phosphorus, and an excellent source of fiber, vitamin B6, folate, pantothenic acid, 303 milligrams of potassium, and manganese.
Now, it’s time for the Ingredients:
