Cooking Tips Using a Crock Pot – 5 Common Mistakes To Avoid

Slow Cookers are so helpful in a kitchen. They make meal preparation like a breeze, always bringing wonderful aroma as the dinner cooks, almost by itself. But be sure to avoid these slow cooker mistakes, on friends at food network made this nice video:

#1 Don’t skip searing (it seals in meat juices)
#2 Don’t open the lid while cooking you will end up adding cooking time.
#3 Don’t crank up the temperature to cook faster (you may end up with a burnt bottom on some recipes)
#4 Don’t add dairy too soon (it will curdle, instead add it towards the end for a creamy sauce)
#5 Avoid using chicken skin it won’t produce a crisp skin. Boneless skinless chicken is perfect and is faster to cook.

Pretty simple not to make them don’t you think?
Don’t forget to share your friends will benefit from those tips 🙂
