The stuffing and spices for this recipe are fantastic and straightforward. You can alter the stuffing a bit. For example, if you are not a garlic lover, you can leave it out. The same applies to spices; you can mix and match them a bit. It is best, however, if you leave the recipe as is.
We serve our crock pot whole chicken with celery and carrots as bedding, along with some mashed potatoes or rice. You may also use pepperoni if you like it spicier. You can also make a nice gravy if you wish. Of course, some dinner rolls and a nice glass of red wine are always in order.

Today we’re going to show you how to do if a whole chicken in your slow cooker.
This chicken is nicely spiced, tender, moist, delicious, and great for any occasion, so let’s get started. I have about a one-kilogram whole chicken, and I’m going to begin by drizzling some olive oil over the top, followed by some paprika salt and, of course, one of my all-time favorites, some ground black pepper.
So I’m going to rub it into every little nook and cranny of the meat, and of course, you can adjust the seasoning according to your liking. Now we’re going to turn the chicken over and do this on the other side. Okay, now that we’ve got the chicken nicely seasoned, we’re going to begin stuffing the cavity, starting with the onions, the lemon slices, a couple of cloves of garlic, and a sprig of rosemary.
I’m going to tie the legs up with some cooking string. You don’t have to do this to secure them and keep the stuffing in the cavity, but I usually find it helps. So, we’re going to add the celery to the crock pot’s liner, followed by the carrots. It gives the chicken some extra flavor and gives it a bed to lie on.
I’ll put the chicken in the crock-pot, breast side up, slip the lid, turn the crock-pot to high, and leave it to cook for about six hours. So I will show you what it looks like when the chicken is done after about six hours. It smells absolutely delicious, and to ensure it’s done, you can test it with a meat thermometer. It should read about a hundred and sixty degrees, and we’re ready to serve, and here is our crock-pot whole chicken tender, moist and savory. I like to serve mine with vegetables on the side and my favorite gravy and potatoes, which was our crock-pot whole chicken.
I hope you get a chance to make this because it is simply delicious. Stay tuned because next time, we’ll show you how to make some ribs in your slow cooker; in the meantime, head on over to cook and share.
