Delicious Crock Pot Stew with Beef and Chorizo
Get the slow cooker ready, cold months are not over and it so convenient as you don’t have to stand over a hot pan. Today we’re going to cook an excellent beef recipe with chorizo sausage stew made in the slow cooker. Beef, chorizo, peppers, red onion and garlic are cooked all day in the crockpot with amazing results.
Equipment Needed:
- A large slow cooker (I used a 5.7 litre slow cooker)
- Frying pan
Step 1 : Place your sliced red onions in the base of the slow cooker.
Step 2: Brown the diced beef in a medium hot pan (without oil), in two batches. Place it in the slow cooker and add the sliced peppers and crushed garlic.
Step 3: Fry the chorizo gently in the same pan you used to brown the beef. No oil is needed as the chorizo will produce some as you heat it. Add the chorizo, passata, and stock cube dissolved in the boiling water and smoked paprika to the slow cooker and combine all the ingredients gently.
